As founder of Erie City Moms, I am always moved when someone embraces our vision and shares our commitment to empowering Mother Figures. What a privilege to have 49 people, many of them strangers, donate $14,283 in this cause!

When we started Moms Groups in 2016, I imagined Moms from all walks of life coming together to learn and grow. I thought that a meal, childcare, transportation, and focusing on shared experiences were the start of breaking down barriers and building healthy community. Thanks to generous donors like you, we've grown in impacting generations of women and children through:

• Trusted friendships

• Education & Advocacy

• Unbiased leadership opportunities

 So this thank you also comes on behalf of the 1,000 Mothers we’ve had the high honor of walking alongside to meet their goals. 

 Moms like Mary whose washing machine broke down two weeks before school started. Erie City Moms’ Housing Team purchased the parts and repaired the washer for free, just in time for her kids to go to school in clean clothes.

 Moms like Marie who stepped into two new leadership positions in the community, which she attributes to the confidence she found at Moms Night Out.

Moms like Alondra who became a first-generation homeowner with the support of our financial literacy and real estate mentors.

I truly believe that healthy, whole Moms play a vital role in transforming local families and our community. Your Erie Gives donation tells me you share in this sentiment.
